‘My land is big, I want to build a greenhouse.’ This is the message we always receive from our clients. As an experienced greenhouse EPC, the first step is to make a layout with details as follows:
Prioritize north-south orientation, which arranges greenhouse orientation according to local sunlight conditions to ensure sufficient light; flexible orientation in low-latitude areas to balance lighting and ventilation.
l Crop Zoning: Carried out according to crops and planting systems to facilitate centralized planting, unified management, cost reduction, and improved control efficiency. Leafy plants together in GH1–3 with the corridors to realize a centralized supply of nutrient solution. GH*4 for NFT nursery, nearby GH1-3 for easy transport and unified management.
l Irrigation head location: Greenhouse layout shall be precisely aligned with irrigation systems. The irrigation head should be placed close to the greenhouse to shorten pipelines and cut water pressure and energy loss. A rational pipe network layout facilitates future inspection and maintenance.
l Functional zoning: Reasonably plan service areas like packing area, office, and park area in our greenhouse layout to optimize operation channels, follow farming processes to ensure smooth operation routes, and improve efficiency.
l Overall Park Coordination: Scientifically plan ventilation, drainage, wind protection and traffic routes to avoid layout interference and route crossing. Optimize operation passages for both agricultural machinery and manual work, ensuring orderly park operation and reducing later maintenance costs.
